Activating a Water Account for Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Resale Use

To apply for a water account, you will need a completed application, current driver’s license/state ID and sewer security deposit. A sewer security deposit will be required for Charles Town Utility Board Sewer Customers and Shenandoah Junction Sewer Customers only. We accept cash, check, money order, MasterCard, Discover or Visa. There is no same day service, so please apply at least 24 hours before you expect water service. We cannot back date your service start date.

Developers and/or Individual Lot Builders

For developers to obtain a water service letter to submit to the local county/municipality offices for development plan approval; a set of engineering drawings must be submitted and approved by Jefferson Utilities, Inc. To obtain plan approval, a set of engineering drawings must be emailed to support@juiwater.net or delivered to our office at 270 Industrial Boulevard, Kearneysville, WV 25430.  Plan review can take up to 14 business days due to volume of construction. 

For Individual Lot Builders to obtain a water service letter to submit to the local county/municipality offices for a building permit, lot location, approved septic permit and house location must be submitted by emailed to support@juiwater.net or delivered to our office at 270 Industrial Boulevard, Kearneysville, WV 25430.  Plan review can take up to 14 business days due to volume of construction. 

Design Details can be found here. All Jefferson Utilities’ water lines are now being installed with tracer wire and tracer wire boxes every 300 feet.

Water availability letters will be issued on a per lot basis for local county/municipality offices to obtain a building permit.  Water availability letters may be submitted to our office and can be found here and can take up to 14 business days for release.

Meter Requests can be submitted here. Locations of the setter, crock and lid must be flush to the ground and have no damage for inspection to be passed and meter to be placed, no exceptions. Residential meter specification detail can be found here.  Due to the volume of construction, meter inspections and installations can take up to 14 business days.  There will be two (2) visits, inspection and then meter placement.
